About Sling Drift
Racing comes down to a single input in Sling Drift. Your car speeds along a winding, endless road, and the only thing you control is the drift. Hold the mouse button as you reach a bend and the car slings around it as if tethered to the corner, then release to straighten out and carry on.
That sounds easy until the turns start stacking up. Let go too early and you fly off the track; hold on too long and the car swings off course. One crash ends the run, so good scores come from calm, consistent timing rather than speed. It is perfect for short breaks.
How to play Sling Drift
- Hold left mouse button - drift around the corner
- Release - straighten out and keep driving
Playing Sling Drift on a computer
Sling Drift needs just the left mouse button. Hold it as your car reaches a bend to sling around the corner, then release to straighten out onto the next stretch. Press Play now and PLAY to start the endless road. Timing the release is harder than the hold: let go too early or too late and the car leaves the track.
Playing Sling Drift on a phone or tablet
Sling Drift is set up for a mouse, where holding and releasing the left button controls every corner. Touch input has not been verified for this build, so the reliable way to play is with a mouse or trackpad on a computer or Chromebook. If you are on a phone, open a game labeled "Desktop and mobile" instead.
On a phone right now? Try Coreball, Bottle Jump 3D and Drift Boss - they are built for touch screens.
Tips and tricks
- Start holding just as the car reaches the bend, not before.
- Release once the car lines up with the next straight.
- Keep your eyes slightly ahead so the next corner never surprises you.
