Basket Random strips basketball down to a single button. Each side jumps and swings its arms with one key, and the wobbly physics decide where the ball actually goes, so points come from lucky bounces as often as from careful timing.

The setup refuses to stay the same for long. You might land on a different court, get a new pair of athletes or end up chasing an oddly shaped ball. Play a quick match against the computer or hand a friend the other side of the keyboard. Whoever reaches five points first takes the game.

How to play Basket Random

• W - player one jumps and shoots
• Up arrow - player two jumps and shoots
• Tap the screen on phones and tablets

Playing Basket Random on a computer

Each team runs on one key: W for player one and the up arrow for player two, so two people can share a laptop without bumping hands. Press Play now and get past the distributor's PLAY button. A press makes your pair leap and swing their arms. Courts, balls and players change every so often, so take a second to study each new setup before jumping.

Playing Basket Random on a phone or tablet

Touch is supported here. Tap the screen to make your players jump and flail at the ball, which does the same job as the W key. Turning the phone sideways usually gives the court more breathing room. The wobbly physics reward patience, so wait until the ball drops near your side instead of tapping the instant it moves.

Tips and tricks

• Press the key in short bursts so your players do not tumble over.
• Jump when the ball drops near your hands, not before.
• Rethink your timing whenever the ball or court changes.
