About Riddle School
Bored student Phil wants out of class, and Riddle School puts you in charge of his escape. Created by Jonochrome, who first released it under the name JonBro, this Flash-era point-and-click adventure became a staple of school computer labs thanks to its simple art and offbeat humor.
You explore classrooms and hallways, click on everything that looks interesting and collect items that might help later. Puzzles often have a silly twist, so thinking a little sideways pays off. The game is short enough to finish in one sitting, and its success led to a whole series of sequels that continue Phil's story.
How to play Riddle School
- Mouse - click to explore and examine objects
- Mouse - pick up items and use them from your inventory
Playing Riddle School on a computer
Riddle School runs through the Ruffle Flash emulator, so the mouse does everything. Click Play now, click inside the game, then start it from the title screen. Help Phil escape class by clicking anything that looks interesting, picking up items and selecting them in your inventory to use on the scene. If you get stuck, revisit every room and click objects again; the answers are often silly.
Playing Riddle School on a phone or tablet
Being a Flash point-and-click game, Riddle School expects a mouse pointer. Small clickable spots around the classroom and the inventory selections are hard to hit with a fingertip, and Ruffle runs these games with mouse input in mind. A laptop, desktop PC or Chromebook suits it much better. Phone visitors should browse titles tagged "Desktop and mobile" instead.
On a phone right now? Try Amaze, Block Blast and 99 Balls - they are built for touch screens.
