About Friday Night Funkin vs Zardy
A shadowy cornfield maze sets the stage for this fan mod by SwankyBox, who also created its title character. Zardy, a lanky, scarecrow-like figure, is waiting among the corn, and the only way forward for Boyfriend is to beat him in a rap battle.
The centerpiece is Foolhardy, a long track that tests your stamina as much as your timing. Notes keep coming for minutes at a time, so losing focus late in the song is the usual way runs fall apart. Its eerie farm setting and memorable villain made it one of the standout fan mods from the early days of Friday Night Funkin'.
How to play Friday Night Funkin vs Zardy
- Arrow keys or WASD - hit the notes
- Enter - confirm menus and pause
Playing Friday Night Funkin vs Zardy on a computer
Match each arrow as it slides into place by pressing the arrow keys or WASD, and use Enter to confirm menus or pause. Press Play now and click the game once to focus it. Foolhardy, Zardy's main song, is long and tests your stamina, so rest your hands between attempts and pick whichever key set tires you least. Breaking long note streams into small chunks helps you stay on rhythm.
Playing Friday Night Funkin vs Zardy on a phone or tablet
Zardy's cornfield battle needs a keyboard. Foolhardy runs for a long time with constant four-key patterns, and there is no on-screen touch pad in this version, so taps on glass simply cannot keep pace. Battle Zardy from a desktop, laptop or Chromebook. On a phone, try the games labeled "Desktop and mobile" instead.
On a phone right now? Try Magic Tiles 3 - they are built for touch screens.
Tips and tricks
- Foolhardy is long, so stay relaxed and pace yourself instead of tensing up.
- If you keep failing near the end, drop the difficulty to build stamina first.
