Friday Night Funkin VS. Sky

About Friday Night Funkin VS. Sky

Sky is not a typical rival. In this fan-made Friday Night Funkin' mod, she is Boyfriend's most devoted fan, and her crush comes with a jealous streak aimed squarely at Girlfriend. That setup gives VS. Sky a comedic, slightly unhinged personality that made it a well-remembered mod from the game's early modding days.

The week is made up of three songs, Wife Forever, Sky and Manifest, and the energy ramps up as Sky's composure slips. Mechanically it is classic FNF: hit the arrow keys as notes line up and keep the health bar out of the danger zone.

How to play Friday Night Funkin VS. Sky

• Arrow keys - hit the matching notes
• Enter - confirm menu choices and pause

Playing Friday Night Funkin VS. Sky on a computer

Load VS. Sky with the Play now button and click inside the game so your key presses count. Enter confirms menu choices and also pauses during a song. The four arrow keys line up with the four note lanes, left to right. Rest a finger on each arrow rather than glancing down, and switch on Fullscreen with the button under the game to make the scrolling notes bigger.

Playing Friday Night Funkin VS. Sky on a phone or tablet

VS. Sky is keyboard-only on this site. Every note in Sky's three-song week maps to an arrow key, and fast passages need quick presses on separate lanes that a phone screen cannot reproduce. A computer or Chromebook with a keyboard is the way to play it. When you are holding a phone, pick a title marked "Desktop and mobile" instead.

On a phone right now? Try Magic Tiles 3 - they are built for touch screens.

Tips and tricks

• Save your focus for Manifest, the most intense song of the week.
• Practice each song on its own in freeplay before playing the full week.
