About Dinogen Online

Humans with guns face off against dinosaurs in Dinogen Online, a top-down shooter from Wilkin Games. Matches let you take either side, so one round you might be holding a choke point with a rifle and the next you are a predator stalking the squad.

Variety is a real strength here, with a long list of team-versus-team and cooperative modes plus a wide spread of maps and guns. Playing with friends online works especially well in the co-op modes, where coordination matters more than raw aim. This version is designed for keyboard and mouse.

Playing Dinogen Online on a computer

Load in with Play now, followed by the second PLAY button, giving any short ad time to finish. Move with WASD, aim and fire with the mouse and reload with R; the game explains any other actions. Each match lets you pick a side, human squad or dinosaur, so play to its strengths: humans hold choke points from range, while dinosaurs stalk and close the gap.

Playing Dinogen Online on a phone or tablet

The distributor states plainly that Dinogen Online requires a keyboard and mouse, so it is a computer game. Moving with WASD while aiming with the mouse has no touch equivalent here. Hunt or defend from a desktop, laptop or Chromebook. For a phone, its sibling Dinogen Arena and other games labeled "Desktop and mobile" are better options.

On a phone right now? Try They Are Coming, Time Shooter 3: SWAT and Giant Wanted - they are built for touch screens.

Tips and tricks

Stay close to teammates when playing as a human, since lone soldiers are easy prey.
As a dinosaur, use cover and side routes to close the distance before attacking.
Try a co-op mode first to learn the maps and weapons.
