About Blocky Snakes
Blocky Snakes takes the classic grow-your-snake formula into a chunky 3D world. You join a match with other snakes, and the rule is simple: eat to grow, and outlast everyone around you.
Eating other snakes is the main way to get longer, but going after them carries risk. Power-ups and collectible items around the arena give you extra ways to grow. A speed boost lets you cut off an opponent or escape a tight spot, and you can switch between mouse steering and keyboard controls depending on the camera view.
How to play Blocky Snakes
- Mouse - steer the snake
- Left click - boost
- A/D or left/right arrows - steer in overhead view
- Space - boost in overhead view
Playing Blocky Snakes on a computer
In the standard view, the snake follows your mouse and left click gives it a burst of speed. If the camera sits above the snake, steer with A and D or the left and right arrows and boost with Space instead. A match begins once you click Play now and the PLAY button inside the frame. While you are small, pick fights only with snakes shorter than you.
Playing Blocky Snakes on a phone or tablet
Blocky Snakes is set up for a mouse or keyboard. The default view steers by following your cursor and boosts with a click, while the overhead view needs steering keys plus Space. Touch controls are not confirmed, so steer your snake from a computer or Chromebook. If you need a game that works on your phone, pick one with the "Desktop and mobile" badge.
On a phone right now? Try Basket Random, Amaze and They Are Coming - they are built for touch screens.
Tips and tricks
- Save your boost to cut in front of a rival.
