About Coaster Racer 2
Coaster Racer 2 sends you over tracks that rise, dip and throw you into the air like a theme park ride. You can choose between cars and motorbikes, and finishing in a qualifying spot is what unlocks the next course, so every race counts toward progress.
Cash is earned from your finishing position, and dollar icons placed along the track add a bit more for drivers who grab them. Spend it on upgrades between events. Nitro adds strategy as well: it recharges over time, you can store as many as three, and choosing the right moment to use them often decides tight finishes.
How to play Coaster Racer 2
- Arrow keys - steer, accelerate and brake
- M - freestyle move
- N - fire a nitro boost
- Keys can be redefined in the options
Playing Coaster Racer 2 on a computer
To reach the starting grid, press Play now and the publisher's PLAY button; an ad can run briefly. The arrow keys steer, accelerate and brake, N fires a nitro boost and M performs a freestyle move. Every key can be redefined in the options. Use nitro on long straights and climbs rather than just before a sharp turn, and grab dollar icons along the track for extra cash.
Playing Coaster Racer 2 on a phone or tablet
Coaster Racer 2 uses four arrow keys plus separate nitro and freestyle keys, and its remapping options only apply to a keyboard. It is not marked as mobile-ready and lists no touch controls. Race it on a computer or Chromebook. On a phone or tablet, choose from titles marked "Desktop and mobile" instead.
On a phone right now? Try They Are Coming, Coreball and Drift Boss - they are built for touch screens.
Tips and tricks
- Save at least one nitro for the final straight.
- Grab dollar icons when they sit on your line, but do not swerve wildly for them.
- Put early upgrades into speed to make qualifying easier.
